The studio provides FREE use of mats, blocks, straps, resistance bands, bolsters, blankets, and foam spine strips. I offer options throughout class, so everyone can personalize their practice.
THIS IS A MINDFUL MOVEMENT CLASS.
This is NOT a traditional or hot yoga class.
No Sanskrit. No chanting. No incense.
No super hot sweaty rooms.
No up and down rounds of Sun Salutations.
No Namaste. (Everyone ends class in their own way.)
Then what it's like?
Full-body mindful movement.
Some slow gentle Yoga.
Some mat Pilates.
Some Tai Chi style flow.
Ending in a final relaxation.
I DON'T TOUCH PEOPLE.
I do not provide hands-on assists or adjustments during class, so everyone can feel, experiment, and move within their own safest range of motion. I do provide verbal cues, demonstrations, and questions to guide the movement.
I USE MUSIC.
I use instrumental-only music, played softly in the background. Sometimes the group requests no music be played.
